Pula's Arena
Pula’s Arena
Pula is the biggest town in Istria and a great place to base yourself when visiting the region.
Pula's Arena built between 27 BC and 67 AD, the Pula Arena is one of the six largest Roman amphitheatres in the world. It is the only amphitheater that has all four side towers intact. It's worth exploring as an ancient monument - but if you time it right, you might even catch a concert that takes place throughout the summer.
Pula isn’t my first choice of where to stay in Istria — it’s a decent city, but I think other towns have more to offer. But Pula is a nice place to spend an afternoon or evening.
